Stephanie made a commitment to never return and served her last day at The Central Detention Facility (CDF/DC Jail) in 1995 soon realizing that transitioning back into what was considered a normal livelihood was no easy task. Eventually, she picked up a few side jobs, yet understanding the lack of platforms for women who were trying to re-establish themselves.
